It would be nice if when you exported as an Adobe Illustrator file that the line weight and pattern exported, too.

Agreed, looks like it might be a scaling or unit issue. Line weights defined in mm as 1mm, 0.5mm and 2mm in Shark FX open in Illustrator as 0.5mm, 0.25mm and 1mm.

I think that the AI export needs a through re-think. At the moment it exports everything as lines, it would be a lot more useful if each face was exported as a closed polygon.
