I'd like to assert that dimensions in 3D are not easy to read.

So, I'd like to suggest this: Make the dimensions 3D, and sort of "wrapped around a pole", the pole being the dimension line (fixed or broken) so that no matter the view the user takes, the text (at least for display purposes) is readable so the user need not manipulate the view angle just to improve readability of dimensions being inspected as one works.

Imagine a sort of "barber pole" or maybe a resistor effect, except the dimensions and text are enhanced. They could be parallel to the dims axis, or automatically sense space constraints and self-reorient perpendicular to the dims axis. They could duplicate with visual aids breaks, or self-rotate into readability.

THANKS!

Wow! Can I have a puff of whatever you've just been smoking?? LOL!

Isn't 2D 'model to sheet' enough?

But, the nice thing is that IF Punch! starts doing this (and if no one else has, and if they refer to my post/wish), they can patent-block others from denying Punch! or others from using this idea. Part of the problem in the software industry is when gigantic companies or patent trolls stifle innovation (to use buzz words).

If Punch! at least puts it in beta (again, assuming no one else can claim a patent), then it'll hopefully be a feature Punch! can legitimately offer later on. Same with my other posts/ideas today.
