I have a space navigator for notebooks connected to a macbook pro running OS X Snow leopard, latest update. The space navigator is rcognozed by the OS, but Shark LT crashes immediately when opened. If I disconnect the Space navigator, Shark LT works fine. Also, if I run Win XP pro in Parallels, I can use the space navigator with my windows apps. If I open Shark LT as a shared application in windows, the space navigator will (sometimes) not cause Shark LT to crash. I've now tried this with a few other programs, only Shark LT has problems. Any idea what is going on?

Thanks,

J. Tucker

What build of Shark LT do you have (its in the splash screen)? I recall an issue when they changed their driver and we had to accommodate with a new build.

I've been using a space navigator without a hitch with Shark FX 7 (build 929) and OSX 10.6.5 & 10.6.6.

Not sure how to find the revision of the space navigator driver, but I haven't had it very long.

If you open up the 3Dconnexion Control Panel it should be under the Help->About. Unless for the Mac they buried that under Preferences...

On the Mac accessing the 3D Connexion features is under the system preferences pane. Unlike regular Apps, these functions don't have "about" or "help" that display the version info.

My Shark LT is build 810. "Current Version" reports that is the latest build.

Any help will be appreciated. I am trying to migrate from the PC world to all Mac.

Thanks,

J. Tucker

>>my Shark LT is build 810.

Private email me and I will send you links to 856. I think 810 was compiled for an older version of the connexion drivers.

Tim,
The new build files work perfectly (and also fix the install issues with permissions). Thanks.
