Hi Tim.

I'm moving some meshes into modo for rendering, and have found an issue with the "wavefront obj" exporter continually throwing dialog boxes with the message "no object selected" in v929.

In order to better control my meshes, I'm manually converting my solids to meshes before export. Then because I don't want modo to merge all of the meshes into a single mesh item, I'm first logically grouping my meshes, selecting the ones I want, and exporting them with the MultiFile option so that I can import each group as a separate mesh into modo. Now even though MultiFile is documented to export "each selected solid as an individual file," the exporter is indeed exporting a separate file for each group just like I want.

However, it is also throwing a dialog box stating "no object selected" for presumably every mesh. To stop the madness, I am able to select quit from the dock icon, at which point Shark cycles through all the dialogs for me and gives me a chance to cancel the file close and quit operation. When it's finished, I do end up with the desired groups exported as separate files like I wanted.

I can send you a file, but it's easy to reproduce. Make two spheres and mesh each one - the mesh settings son't seem to matter. Select the two meshes and group them. Now here's an important clue. If you leave the group selected after the group command and immediately export them as obj, selecting the "selected only" and MultiFile options, all will be fine. But if you first deselect the group and then reselect it, then export with these settings, Shark will throw the mentioned dialog for each mesh. I'm assuming this bug will point out some selection problem that might go deeper than this export issue.

Can you fix the dialog issue and please, please, please maintain the ability to export groups as separate files (and possibly add "each selected solid and/or group" to the docs under MultiFile)?

Thanks,
Brock
