Just started with v12 2d/3d. Watched video where a 3 view pdf of a jet liner was imported. Looked straightforward. I was surprised to see he was able to manipulate the image. Must be converted to vector in the import process. When I import a pdf, I get a blank square with text of the file directory. I did open and manipulate pdf that originated as a Solidworks drawing saved as a pdf. But not other typical pdf’s. Ideas?

Try one of the other pdf options. Sometimes I get that with the ai import, so use the 2d import and get the curves. If the sheet is a scan then it won't work though

Thank you. The file was a scan that I saved as a pdf so that is likely the issue.

Ah yes, that's the problem. It sees it as a picture. You'll need a pdf to dxf software to extract the curves. I have one if you want me to help you with it?
