I'm using ViaCad Pro since Version 5
a while ago, i upgradet from 10 to 11.
11 crashed much often then 10, so i still used Version10.
So i got the idea, maybe Shark ist much better an stabil.
So i bought Shark 12 not the pro Version

I opened now the preferences and set autosave after 5 commands and autosave after 5 Minutes.

is this normal ?

I'm realy confused and think about to use still ViaCad 10 Pro.
and i cannot use Shark 12 and ViaCad 11 on my pc at home too.

Sorry, i do not want to by problems, when i buy upgrades.

i make jewellery and my objects are smal and not very difficult. I also think about users with more details, how can they work with thisupdates ?
viele Grüße

ViaCAD Pro: 5,6,7,8,9,10,11
SharkCad 12
OS X 10.15.4

Hello a.wieneke,

it is normal that in order to finalize any project in viacad/shark you must save it in every 5 steps. Most of us even create separate files (ver.1, ver.2. ... ver.12 :-)) to have a history tree as well (as you probably know "undo" and internal "history tree" doesn't work well). According to stability I think there is no differences between shark and viacad, because it the same engine. This engine had been working till v9, v10 quite good. Now, Shark/viacad is in the huge crisis - many loyal "fans" started to look for an alternatives. Something must change in the core of this software I believe or they should start from fixing v9/v10 as a new release :-)))).

thanks 1 user thanked magicart for this useful post.
