I have a model I'm working on that has three interconnected parts, stacked one on top of another. I'd like to make an exploded view with some space in between them, and some reference lines connecting the objects through the bolt holes I've inserted.

Is this possible in ViaCad Pro v11?

I'm thinking something like this: https://openbuilds.com/media/traming-concept.854/

thanks!

Yes, it is possible: an example below with the components of a wheel

It has to be done manually move each piece and create any lines as needed. I would create a new file and import each piece or copy and paste.

Ahh. I was hoping there might be a way to do it automatically. Thanks.

It can be semi-automated by drawing a line the separation distance between the components, selecting all except one and moving the selection from line start to finish, referring the intellicursor to the line's start and finish, drop the next component, move the remaining selection from start to finish, drop the next component, move the remaining etc. Vector/assembly lines drawn through the axes of the mating holes/fasteners can be dashed in inspector pen properties, thickened if you want with the pixel weight setting, unit weight settings don't vary onscreen visuals. Do it with a copy of your work and unlinked parts, it'll probably screw up dependencies if you use linked originals and could refuse to regen.
