Any help on this is appreciated

is there any way to remove a sub layer from it's parent layer? it seems that once that relationship is made it can not be broken. I can not move it up or down out of the parent group and I can not delete the parent and leave the sub layers.

very frustrating.

Thanks,

Gary

Yes !
I spend a lot of time creating new layers, moving content, and deleting old ones.
When importing a sfx (or cu) file, hundreds of empty layers must be removed...
Not even talking about the layer star "*" making it worse

We did discuss not long ago that the CE was going (needed) to be addressed, along with the history tree too.

The history tree in VC is almost pointless- because of the lack of parametric control. It could work if lines were automatically grouped- so changing one dimension would also change equally, an opposite dimension in say a square or rectangle- but I'm going OT now. I'll save this for a new thread.
