I just finished a few days of modeling and the one issue that popped up the most was:

when creating geometry and wanting to keyboard enter in numeric info, a field in the toolbar highlights blue yet the cursor is not auto placed there you have to tab to the field.

It would be great if you could just start entering your data into the colored field without having to tab over.

I totally agree. It looks as if it is half-implemented. For example I am drafting right now. If I select text or hatch or whatever, the proper name of the field is blue, but I have to click in the box. so close to what it should be!

It would be great if you could just start entering your data into the colored field without having to tab over.


This seems to work fine for me. Any number key hit is directed to the active data entry field.

Sometimes it works and sometimes not. When I posted the earlier note I was working on hatch and dims and having problems. I just opened a new drawing and could not modify the text without selecting the box. So right now, for me that is consistently not working even though the title above it is blue.

I have been working in Shark on and off for the last few weeks and almost exclusively have not had the blue field auto active.

Experimentation this morning has shown empty files mostly starting not working and through repeated attempts kick starting the feature. Not repeatable yet....

Also have noticed:

1. sometimes some of the data entry fields text is gray while others are black. unrepeatable.

2. after you tab out of the first blue field no other fields become blue. It would seem if the blue field is indicating the active field, then tabbing into other fields should highlight them.

Originally thought it may be the usb bus on my computer, as I have had a few problems, but other people seem to be having the same problem...

I am working on 2D drafting sheets and selecting any text places the edit field at the top of the pace, but typing without selecting the field first does not work.

Is this a confirmed bug? I work on sheet views every day and although the text above the box is blue, it is not selected.

Select a part to sheet. Select project name or other text and try to type.

I assume that the word "text" in blue and the field below it are supposed to activate.
