So cool — especially starting at thr 20:00 point.

"Easy Railing Generator with Geometry Nodes | Blender 5.2"

This probably doesn't need AI, either.

The logic behid this could work well with ship hulls and curved buildings because curves used for extending and shortening distances about a perimeter or a wall height could allow walls, doors, bulkheads, etc to be based on super smart constraints that especially break out of the frustratingly frustrative "Curved Not Planar" issues.

Likely, polar and other arrays linked to various constraints would be needed.

I already disappointedly found out that Mirror Symmetry Constraint doesn't work on splines. Super bummer, as I was hoping to be able to make an inclined spline be the tangency bound or edge against which I'd slide a surface or surface-based solid which would be a bulkhead following the contour of a ship's deck's sheer/shear.

But, for ease of use, constraints would need slider controls that can be invoked or dismissed as needed.

Last night, I followed one of Tim's tutorials about the Centerline Surface Sweep tool. I'd seen it a week ago, but this time tried it.

The Magnet too definitely helped align things. I spent maybe 20 minutes of back and forth getting fails because I didn't realize the geometry I attempted to sweep was too big. The app didn't think as I was drawing. I just on a lark had to curse myself when I took a guess that maybe the ovel, triangle, circle, polygon, group, etc are too big, or maybe groups aren't accepted.
...

What I hope becomes a new thing is that the Constraints tools will work on ANY of the geometry created within SharkCAD, regardless of the G type of the splines.

I tried to apply constraints to the spiral. Nothing happened.

It would be nice if an array or a circle can be the anchor point of creating a perimeter, a fence, a staircase, whatever, driven by the scaling or diameter and see the constraints tools work.

But, as I wrote this, I realize I was fixated on constraints.

I now need to see if there are other ways to attach geometry that is not swept but is using the spiral as an anchor or path for pipes. Such would be useful for adding stanchions or safety rails to a design that might change in shear/sheer, or slope, and so on.

And, "Curves not Planar...", hopefully, that comes with a nudging or an assist to work with intent, not just explicit technical act.

Also, I need to buy the Tips and Tricks book. But, I hope the Constraints secrion of 9 or so pages is not titles and one-sentence explanations. Multiple times, I keep experiencing what feels like there's a sequence for some, but it doesn't matter for others. I also wish the verb/noun/active/passive description of a command or a choice or a note is more about state or conditions (not On/Off, or Show/Hide, but IS HIDDEN, IS VISIBLE, IS OFF).

I often get bitten by this innthe Entities tab. It's frustrating to find that sometimes a counted piece of geometry part of a body might be turned off mistakenly and later, in the layer tree, it's not present.

This might matter as constraints and objects might go hidden.

That said, Auto Constraint is nice as a timesaver for application of some of the available constraints and avoiding duplicate/unnecessary constraints.
