Hi
Anyone having issues with macOS Tahoe and Shark CAD Pro.
It's leaving drop down menu items on the desktop, needs a Quit to resolve
Force Quit doesn't show it "Not responding" though
My beta for v16 has expired, so can't test that.
Cheers
Mike
PS I'm trying to open Recent Items in the drop down, so maybe the file structurer has changed, as it crashes and quits trying to open some of these files.

Hi, since switching to Tahoe, I get serious trouble working with Shark pro 14.1.0 (Build 1654). Drop down menus stoped working, also tools like extrude stopped working, since no object can be selected. Will this be fixed? Thanks, Robert

Hi Robert, I'm on the same build, and I'm getting more issues, sometimes the Entity what show the ops, and I can't expand in Concept Explorer to alter chamfers etc Tried quitting and re-booting, but no joy. Definitely an issue with screen redraw and updating, as highlighting a part doesn't update the open window in concept explorer Very frustrating, but I'd be interested if anyone is OK using a 16 Beta or a later build of 15. I see the forum has been pretty quiet, not sure if it's monitored by support. Mike

Hi again Just an update in Concept Explorer, if I click on a part in the drawing, it is not identified in Concept Explorer's Entities tab, but if I click on Layers or Symbols, when I go back to Entities I can se the History Tree, so evrytime it locks out, and becomes unresponsive, I just switch into another tab, and then back to the original tab.... something simple, that's changed in the macOS side, that's not playing nice. :) Mike

Hello,
With SCP V16 b1732 :
I can confirm many interface issue as mentioned before for V15 :
Menus defect, tools changing icons, Explorer loosing control....
But let's see a
positive point : there is far less crashes and hangs than before upgrading to Tahoe.
Hatching complex sections copy and paste or export heavy solids are working better than ever.
---> May be a Rosetta finally learned Shark's language ???

Thanks for that, I'm hoping the software team are on the case, not being negative just surprised, and BTW for me, the V16 Beta was a big improvement in a few areas vs previous beta tests. Maybe I shouldn't have "upgraded" to macOS Tahoe. :)
Mike
PS I suspect it's more to do with graphics engine changes, or newer guidelines not yet adopted.

I cant create or delete layers in the layers palette...
Claus
OK, this seems to be related to using external monitor in my case. If I open my macbook both displays will update. So clicking to create a new layer actually creates the layer but it will not show until a screen update is invoked. As a workaround I have my laptop close to my left hand and lift the lid to refresh. Hopefully not for long.

Hi Claus,
I'm using an external monitor with my MacBook open, but useful to know.
I'm not sure how long before there is a fix for v14, as I suspect it'll roll into a v16 upgrade. My understanding sometime ago was the software team don't have access to an Apple Silicon Mac or use an external monitor, but I'm not sure how many macOS users there are using their software vs Windows OSes

Clever Workaround Claus !
On my side, I have set collapsible layer palette.
Collapsing and expending the palette does the same refresh...
Too bad it doesn't solve the entity tree...

I find if I switch back and firth in Concept Explorer when looking at the Entities that don't show anything, that switching to Layers and switching back is enough to force a refresh and see the history... then you can go into this, but anytime it locks out or doesn't update say when Remove Feature etc, I just switch somewhere and switch back.
Works for me, just doing frequent saves too. :)
