English:
I have never observed such behavior. So, as I understood it, you can select the original object, but not the mirrored one. If the mirrored one is not on another layer and you have set a selection mask for the layer, I see no other reason why the behavior should be like this, and it could therefore be a bug in Version 16.
Here is the translation of Fey’s request into English, from GPT-5 Thinking specialized in SharkCAD:

If you mirror it can be linked to the one, try to break the link and try again
If things don't go the way you would find a way it could.

English: Are you sure you selected the Select tool, or did you accidentally try to select with the Mirror tool active? In ViaCAD and SharkCAD you first press Escape and then hold Shift to change selections while mirroring, without having to pointlessly switch to the Select tool beforehand. This is, in a way, an old bug that was already present in version 9 and occurs especially when mirroring across an infinite plane.

They’re not being linked on my end.

Apologies for the likely or possibly tangential reply:
After my reply in my native English, I supplied a Google Translate translation into German.
...
Short version of my reply:
....
If non-selectable geometry appears, and the mouse and keyboard fail on the draw window, select and hide everything you can with Ctrl-A (or whatever shortcut you assigned or didn't override somehow). Then, systematically visit each layer and right click to see if objects reported as a number count get reduced when you hit Delete.
If like me, you have over 5,000 layers, this will be exceedingly tedious depending on just how many objects not selectable are showing on your screen.
....
<Snip, snip, snip...

Here's an example of what nonselectable objects look like to me.
In on view — with just 8 objects visible — there are remnants of deck plating I cut.
Removing the remnants wasn't hard, since the Delect Mask gave me a clue as to what layers to dive into.
Above, in another image, you can see how many objects are in a different file. That image is associated with the 3rd view — the one that hase a bunch of long rectangular geometry. Some of thst is deck plate cutters, but some is bulkhead cutters or other stuff.
Once i did a Show All and selected everything, the non selectable stuff somehow became deletable when I right-clicked at one layer in the Concept Explorer.
But, upon undoing the delete, SharkCAD promptly crashed.

                Hi ZeroLengthCurve
If you do have a problem with some stuff than put the sharkcad or viacad file on this forum.
Try to tell in 1 sentence your problem.
This is far easier than reading a complete story of it all.
Kind regard, Theo
