Dear all,
I just collected my first experience with page layouts and the model to sheet tool. But I don't get the drawing out off my A4 printer in right scale.
I did the model in 1:1 scale. Before using the model to sheet tool I set the scale to 1:10 (metric) wherever you can adjust these settings. I have set all the parameters to A4 size in page layout and the printer setup, I am using a drawing template that was delivered together with the software. When measuring the frame of the drawing template it shows the expected values. The outer dimensions of the frame are 10mm less wide than the paper size. I would say a margin of 5 mm at each side is feasible and the printer should be able to print it correctly.
However, when I send it to the printer, the output is scaled down by approx. 12%.
Does anybody of you have an idea how this can be fixed?
Regards
Edzard

Hi, the printing thing is a nightmare. So I've found you literally have to do every stage in the printing bit.
Page set up. Go to advanced tab pick sheet size. Set the lower scale to 1:1.select two radio buttons to check where the borders lie in the sheet. I've found sometimes wmthese are off. If they are you can select OK and drag the sheet around to centralise it (even if you have used align centre button in page set up.
Then print to pdf first. Then you can print from there. I always print to pdf first, even when using NX 11.NX has a habit of changing all the fonts printing direct from the cad interface.
Once printed to pdf then print out of your printer.
I've just printed out some photogrammetry targets I'm designing and testing and they came out fine when using this method.
Hope this helps.
