Jol, I have not been working much in Shark, mostly opening old files and exporting step files for use elsewhere. But no issues with that at all. I work on a 2016 Macbook Pro.

Hello Claus, may I know into what software You're exporting STEP's from Shark. Would be grateful for a private post - I want to be fair and to not discuss about other softwares on this forum :-)

Hello Crumpton,
I've been working one week with SharkCap Pro 11 on Catalina.
It works OK, maybe a little more fluid.
I had a couple of "endless freeze", but I'm not sure it's related.

I am using V10 with OSX 10.15 ... but not 'in anger'

- probably not a good expression to use with Shark : )

(Catalina is apparently now 64bit only ... Shark is supposedly too)

I have had a couple of crashes - but I can't specifically relate them to this OS - I think they would have happened anyway.

No doubt some (32bit ?) routines don't work under Catalina - but I've yet to find them

Jol

Further comments welcome

Thanks fellas. So are we saying V10 is pure 64bit?

No I don't think that's what we're saying

It may be - but I doubt it

What we're saying is we haven't found the bit that isn't yet (the bit that fails under Catalina)

And Tim is unlikely to give clues

Interestingly - every MacOS version appears to get notably smoother and zippier- even on my 2013 laptop

Whether this has any significant impact on our CAD app, I'm unclear

(Obviously, if you've got serious work on - move to v11 - otherwise you'll get no support under Catalina)
