Is there a limit to the undos? I thought I used to be able to undo many times but for some reason today I could only undo something around 5 times. I didn't change any settings.

Are they in the Preferences somewhere? Couldn't located a setting for them.. . please help.

Thank you.

Hello Flatpack,

Some operations are canceling the undo list.
Example :
- Make a solid and modify, add, remove, simplify, blend, shell....the undo list is incrementing ---> you can come back to step 1 by undoing.
- But if you select one solid and chose "Remove links" ---> the entire undo list is wiped off. It is impossible to get the links back or undo any step prior to that.

Maybe Tim or Todd could explain why ?

Regards,
JL

in general, be careful with Undos which may unnoticeably corrupt your model... do a "Save as..." to a dedicated file (e.g. by adding a serial number "xyz.01.sfx" etc.) before doing this.

I'd be careful with an undo. Ive done it a few times on a sketch with constraints and it goes all over the place.

Thanks everyone – had no idea that undo's could be wiped out by removing links. I would think undo would undo-remove-links. Oh well... At least we have a history-tree normally outside of that.
