All,

With the fervent push to go paperless, MBD (Model based Definition) and MBE (Model Based Enterprise) are the latest buzz terms floating around the engineering world. Just like 3D Printing is suddenly a "new thing" when rapid prototyping has been a "thing" for almost 30 years. Same stuff, different label. Sorry..I digress. But I do have to laugh a little bit, as "going paperless" has been the Holy Grail for my entire 33 year CAD design career. I have been involved in a number of "paperless" efforts over the years and it's been feasible for well over twenty years. We just have not yet reached the appropriate point of pain globally to really go all in. Anyway, ANSI and ASME (I assume ISO as well) are in the process of updating standards to include MBD/MBE and I wondered if VC/Shark is heading in that direction in the near future?
