Hi, I'm using SFX to create graphical presentation of my product.
I've been using "Subtract Solid" tool to make cross section view.
Now I noticed there was other way to do, "Clipping Plane?", but I can not find how to execute.
Can some one teach me how to use it?
Thank you

Hi Larry, Thank you for the tips. I still have some display bug on cut area of the solid, but I would try some way to workaround. If you divide the object with the Split Solid tool (instead the Trim Tool) by using 2 levels of Infinite Plane, you get 4 parts. One or two parts put to different layers, then you can hide them in the Concept Explorer as ever you want. To get a realistic cross view like your example you can add once more again two or tree parts with Add Solids.

Bear in mind that clipping planes or the compound slicing that Horst proposes are limited to planar cuts. Subtraction lets you make more intricate 3D cutaways that expose features that clipping planes and slicing remove. You can make multiple subtractions to display complex features, suppress and unsuppress them as needed in concept explorer.
