Please show an example, there are to much possibilities to solve this.

PS Magnetics, one of the possibilities: http://forum.punchcad.co...sts&t=8337#post31778

Here is one of the similar themes to this probleme: http://forum.punchcad.co...sts&t=8389#post32025

The best and shortes solution is to pull up the quader an then flat the edges with a constant chamfer.

You are showing me the start and end images ... but how about the steps in between ?
How do I know the chamfer values ?

For a non-symetric body it will be perhaps the best way the following

Draw with the polygon- or multiline-tool the ground base of the down- an the upside

then skin the solid with the tool.

That is always depending from the goal you want to reach.
Especially your first examble, known is the base-quader ?
The top of this pyramide is also known with its position x an y an z? Symetric or non-symetric to the base quader?
Then I would go this way:

the surface of the quader is visible. Draw with the polygone or the multiline a new polygone by following edge by edge; hide the quader (right mouse key) - the new polygone will be situated on the right place (I hope!)
in Top-view you are drawing now the smaller polygone for the topside directly to its x-y-position on the workplane, change to isometric-view and pull up with the gripper the top-polygone to its end-position Z =
when this is done, skin the both polygons to a solid;
Right mouse key Show All > Solids brings back the base quader on the right position;
Add the both solids with the Add-Tool.

Thats all!

Sorry to my last post, I have forgotten one step: the new drawn polygone over the edges of the quader must be joined together with the Join tool when using the multi line tool. The polygone itself is a geometrical figure, while the multiline is only an assemble of lines. But even the joining may not be sufficient for some of the tools, it needs perhaps to flip them from "lines" to "polygone" (right mouse key > Change Object Type ...)
