Welcome,
cannot use "drop shadow" and "drop reflector" feature, why? Drop shadow works sometimes but gives strange and not good effects. Sometimes, drop shadow works when i add to main rendered object, in distant, ie. sphere...

The drop shadow/reflector puts a floor at z=zero. Is it possible your part is far away or below the z plane?
