Hi Antoine,

tested cover surface with your bezier curves in ViaCad 10 Beta ( 1317)
No problems, all surfaces are the same.

Not intuitive, but I believe correct. The surface goes through the guide point with the given edges.

The Cover with Guide solves a set of equations/constraints to produce and internally smooth G2 surface. There may be more than one answer to the set of equations obvious to the designer but less obvious to the equation solving process:)

Currently I internally default some of these settings that control the outcome. I may need to look at exposing those additional settings to the designer.

Something else you can do to control the take off direction is to add extruded surfaces to the boundary curve and use the Tangent Cover with Guides tool as in attached example file. This method adds more constraints to get the shape you are looking for.
