hi,
i tried to export the solid to stp. i get the error (see foto)
viacad pro9 build 1166, mac os 10.8.5

I tried here on a mac. Does it save when you export to your desktop? Maybe a permission issue.

yes, indeed saving to the desktop works. so i have to check user permissions. thanks

update: build 1176 no problems with permissions when saving a stp export of a solid to my normal directories now.
but another problem occurred (maybe a bug): the checkbox "selected only" during step export seems to have no effect. all visible objects are exported.

build 1176 beta, mac os 10.8.5

I seem ok here. Maybe it's related to a specific file? If so feel free to send me your file that this repeats with.

German "Umlaute" and special caharcters like "äöüß" are not working as well and generate the same error....
