Hi,

I upgraded to OS X 10.10 yesterday and when I opened the ViaCAD9 it is giving me an error 209, Fingerprint Mismatch. When I press next it ask me to put activation code. I put the activation code I received when I purchased the software on 4-Oct-2014. On top of the activation code field it gives some type of code also and ask to contact support. I uninstalled and installed the software also, using the backup DVD I got, but was getting the same error. Anybody else has the same problem?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hello Tim,

I'm having a similar problem after upgrading to Yosemite 10.10. I'm using Shark Fx V7 (926?) & after upgrading I needed to get a new authorisation code which I'm used to ... every time I do a upgrade of my computer.
BUT I turned on the computer to the shark & I need to get a new code again ... every time I start the computer I need to get a new code. I'm sure from past experience that I can do this a limited number of times.

In the past I have called punch CAD, which isn't a small thing as I'm in australia, now if you don't get someone straight away, they don't have you wait in a queue, they hang up on you. I don't know how i can get any help.

Same problem here with Yosemite 10.10..and V7. Anyway on this computer we use V9.

I have been running the Yosemite beta for a few months now and every time there was an update, I had to request an activation code to get both ViaCad 2D/3D v8 and v9 to work again. Luckily, I received the code the same day. I was told to de-activate the software before updating, but there is no de-activation in the menu.

I just mention this to give you more information if you are trying to solve this issue for the long term.

Hi all,
I'm new to ViaCad v9, I bought from the Apple (Mac) App Store . I'm wondering if it's safe to move on to 10.10 or should I wait for an update ? It would be bad to loose the software right now. I guess the licensing of software from the App store is probably handled differently and I hope Apple got it right. Did anyone update system already ?

It would be helpful to be able to manage a software license(s).

On the Mac side, I was not able to find:
1. Transfer License (off of one of my computers), but not delete it.
2. Transfer to a different computer.
These 2 features would make the license issue less of an "issue".

I've encountered the same problem (fingerprint error) for Viacad Pro9 on OSX 10.9.5.
Every time i start the program it gives me a new request number…i cannot stay with this window open for 24H …waiting for a new serial!

I tried to send you a request via the link you provided, but, because i'm out of USA (France exactly) i can give a phone number…so i can't send you the email.

Hopefully my Viacad Pro 8 is still working…but i need to work with the 9 version that i bought this summer !

I'm sorry but I cannot fix the issue myself. You will need to use the link as I do not have access to the registration system. Encore applies it after EvoSoft provides the software.

Copy the request code and close your window. You do not need to keep it open until you receive the activation from Encore.

I am having the same problem . Unfortunately it is a weekend when I noticed it so I may have to wait until Monday to get going Again:( Hopefully it will get fixed quickly

well, after 1 week, i received nothing from ViaCad/Punch support…No new serial, no email…nothing.

I'm living in France, so my phone number doesn't match your support request form, this could be a problem.

I need a new serial to make my software work.
I bought it and it has to work !

I wait for your answer.

hi, did you try the hint in post #13 above? copy your request code and paste it into the support request form. you can close your window. wait for an email with a new activation code
