I'm doing some text engraving and need to convert it to lines or curves. When I do this, the new outlines of the text appear in a slightly different position to the original. Does anyone know why this happens and if there is a way to work round it, or avoid it altogether as it upsets the layout?

Thanks.
Martin.

The text will drop down to the control point on the bottom of the text string when you convert to lines so turn control points on for the line of text and draw a line along the bottom of the text string horizontial and use that line to place your text before converting to lines. The line text control point is actually where you first click to create line text.

Ah, interesting - thanks for that, Jason. I'll check it out.
