Maybe this is just a pet peeve of mine,
the tool called "Explode Curve" actually duplicates a curve, or makes a copy of a curve with associativity.

Could this tool icon be renamed to something like "extract curve" or "extract edge" with an option to toggle associativity?

My past experiences with other CAD programs used the "explode" command to separate an object composed of several "joined" curves into the individual curves or an object composed of several surfaces into the individual surfaces.

I realize that this might be confusing for some.

Tem .. I think I agree with you that an exploded curve should lose it's associativity

I thought it did !?
