I would like to be able to save files, same file name but with an appended version designation.

menu item addition "save version", RMB for versioning default (alphabetical, numerical, timecode,...) new folder with file name (all versions saved to this), rollback to save as previous version designator, and version note. Version note would be useful in a popup of recent files or windows.


I am sure there are better schemes, but something simple would be welcome.
