Is there no way to translate objects when all snapping is turned off ?

I know you can use the translate, rotate and scale tools but thats not what i mean, with snapping turned on you can simply grab an object and move it, should it not still work this way with the snaps off ?

Yes, you can use all the transform tools with snaps off. The will obviously not be as precise as if you were actually snapping to a specific point, but they will act the same whether the snaps are on or off.

Sure, but i meant when using the selection tool, usually you can select and drag the desired object, but with snapping turned off you cannot ?

thanks

I'd like to second Reuben's comment - it's as though you can't drag something when all snaps are off.

Same with me. Snaps off - not able to select an element.

It's a problem with Concepts 3D (Mac) as well, not just ViaCAD.
