The normal download time allowed is 2 weeks from date of purchase, you get a logon sent in an email so you can login and download for up to 2 weeks I believe the insurance allows for your purchased download to be available longer not sure how long.

As Jason mentioned, the download link provided is only available for 14 days from the time of purchase. With the download insurance you will have access to the link indefinitely.
