Hi jfc

If you are using the offset by distance or offset to point, you click the curve then pick the dircetion or the point top offset to. If direction what is the value you have set in the box at the top? What screen color are you using? Maybe you curve color is the same as screen color?

screen is white, curve is black. The curve simply does not offest. I'm using all the steps you outline.

And how does offset by distance work? I wanted to offset a number of items 3/4" and had to drag each one seperately, enter 3/4" time and time again. That is not a good way of doing things

Yes, and will stay there until I get my monies worth. Sending out as new version 3 weeks after I bought this software, and then using that new version to tell me how to use the older one has simply pissed me off and now I am going to make you explain how to use version 5.

Hi jfc

the offset by distance tool, you enter the distance you want in the top and then just click on the item and direction and it will offset to value.

The parallel line tool is the one where you drag the line in the direction and then you can tab and enter the distance.

jfc

please review attached picture there are 3 ways to offset lines, and 2 to offset curves.

in the picture tool 1 (parallel line tool) will offset a line click line hold button down drag in correct direction release, then tab and enter value you want.

in the picture number 2 and number 3 are the offset tools for all curves including lines. activate the tool click in the in the distance box , then select you curve and then the click the side you want and it will offset to the value you picked.

All these tools are in v5 build 713, and they all work as I described.

What makes you think I represent Punch! Software? I'm just a user, like you. Any help you might get from me is purely down to my good nature - I don't feel, and neither should you feel, that I'm obliged to do it.

The odd Thank you wouldn't go amiss either.
