I am a noob to Punch! Software and I am learning the ViaCad Pro program as we speak.

The project I just finished is a Dalek from the 60™s British science fiction television series Doctor Who. Daleks are cyborgs from the planet Skaro. Their primary function is to exterminate all beings inferior to themselves. (Note for the Dalek purists: The skirt, shoulder, dome and neck are from the Shawcraft MK2. The eyestalk, arm and gun are from the True Dalek Paradigm. The fender is from the Series Supreme.)

Comments, suggestions, and feedback are highly appreciated.

Great Dalek! I far prefered the old ones to the new (easy to manufacture) versions.. :)

This one is for forum member "ttrw" since he likes the "old school" version.

Attached is an accurate representation (dimensions, colors, appendages) of the 1960's MK2 Dalek, as featured in the movie "The Dalek Invasion Of Earth".

I'm just having fun.

This is going to date me, but I remember that my kindergarden in 1960™s London had, for some unknown reason a Dalek in a cupboard off the main room. Every now and then it would come out and roll around saying I am a Dalek and I will exterminate you. I cant imagine any parent allowing that these days.

The toilet plunger arm really reminds me quite how crude these things were by todays standards.

Just for the record (and apologies for the shameless 'plug'), apart from being a product designer and an avid ViaCAD user, I also wrote an app with a friend for the iPhone using Xcode, which when you speak into it makes your resulting mangled voice output sound like a Dalek! You can find it on the Appstore via iTunes. We called it "iExterminate!". The app's been raising money for Alzheimers awareness, by donating 10% of sales to charity.

It's soooooo frustrating not having access to a workshop :(

Get the Maker mag every quarter, sent over from the States. It's brilliant.
