Can anyone get the drop shadows to work? I have used the "shadow catcher" method and either get the "floating" that the preset "drop shadow" gives me or I get my vehicle sunk in the white of the catcher. I have seen this problem for years and still no resolve. I figure you guys must have a workaround. Does everyone use Photoshop or a separate stand alone rendering package? Does anybody use "shadow catcher"? Everything I do now is "floating". I don't use a separate Renderer, but the one I probably
would buy is Simlab Composer.

I have been using Simlab for my 3D PDFs and been happy with it. This morning I have been trying the renderer. I would much prefer to work within Shark but the results I get vary in quality. I use Adobe Acrobat 3D, but is only on PC. I must restart every time with bootcamp to use it. Do you know is Simlab 3D PDFs (for Mac) is similar than Acrobat 3D?

It easily produces 3D pdfs and appears to be equal to Acrobat 3D. The only exception that I can see is the the interactive sections. Version 2.3 has sections but I am not sure they are as interactive as the acrobat ones unless you have acrobat pro on the receiving machine. But, all in all, I am very happy with it. I have the rendering version ($149) but I assume that all you would need is the pdf version ($99) Pretty good price compared to 3d acrobat. I use step. I am pretty sure the colors are retained as well. Try the demo!
