So I need to model a solid flame. I made quick surface model in Cinema4D, but this will not do for casting.

Can such a shape be made in Shark? In C4D I basically moved areas of polygons with a weight/magnet tool. This was about 1 hours worth of work.

I'm going to give it a go soon, but wanted some input on what the best direction might be.

Thanks,
Norbert

Hi Norbert,

What are you using for this? 2d-3d/Pro or Shark.

OK,

I will have a play in pro.

For the first attempt, I am thinking:-
I will create the top/bottom of a single flame, then loft solid between them to get the flow, make more (or use copies of the first with possible scaling) then joint them with blending.

It's possible with deform face to point. The tool can be flakey, but it comes up with very organic shapes.
