Hmmm... no response yet to my drafting question. That makes me wonder, how many of you guys export your model to a different drafting package?

Or how many of you don't use a drafting package at all.

Hello Mike,

However much I wish I did not have to, when the drafting gets heavy I often export from Shark to Ashlar Graphite.

Hi Mike

What do you mean by drafting? Like dimensioning or 2d drawing of views etc?

Yep Jason, that's what we mean... every thing you would do to the drawing after you do the model to sheet function.

Including but not limited to dimensions, tolerances, notes, leaders, welds, GD&T, centerlines, hidden edges, you get the idea!

Hi Mike

I prefer most of the 2d drafting in Shark/ViaCAD to other programs. The thing that could use some updating is text, --> creation ,editing, and scaling of fonts.

The dimensions are very customizable to get the standard or look you want and GDT features are excellent.
The eyedropper tool copies some dimension and text properties but could do more by having options for all dimension properties added to option menu.

Regards
