                I spent last week in a seaside resort town, and a local artisan is sectioning seashells and selling them in one of the souvenir shops.  They're beautiful, and the way they're sectioned explains how the mollusk builds and enlarges a parametric exoskeleton over its lifespan.  The gold leaf highlight on one of them's a nice enhancement too, I think.
