Dear Developers, Is there a way to extrude a curve (open or closed) 'Both ways', so the curve will then be at the midpoint of the surface rather than the end. Sketching a dimension or keyboard input for size..... If not, can we have this enhancement.

Paul, I do believe that you can choose 'midplane' in the extrusion options at the top of the screen when the extrude tool is selected? I hope that helps :)

Thanks for your reply Tom. That is true of extrude solid but not of extrude surface using open curves, do you see ?
Tim: Your solid tools are great but can we see of those reflect for surfaces pls:)

Yes I see. The midplane function should be consistent across all tools- in fact this goes for each and every operation unless unnecessary.

I don't know about each & every but I believe this will speed up worflow for many people. The technology is already there lets just have it for surfaces too:D
