I am only an occasional user of ViaCAD, so please be gentle.

I may not have the terminology correct, but here goes.

I was working with about five sub-layers (1,2,3,4,5). Contained in those five layers was a Top Layer (reminds me of a folder) that had a triangle next to it. I could click on the triangle and then that Top Layer "opens up" to reveal the sub layers contained within.

I wanted to make a new sublayer (6). But I accidentally created an additional "sub Top Layer". In other words, I have a layer with a triangle, I click on the triangle, and I get ANOTHER layer with a triangle, I click on that triangle and I finally get my sub-layers (1,2,3,4,5).

I am trying to eliminate the "in between" layer that serves no purpose.

A parallel example in a computer operating system would be if you took some files and put them in a folder, and then put that folder in another folder.

I can't figure out how to get rid of the unnecessary folder.
