I am really, really angry.
I work with Bezier lines and Viacad crashes regularly and I have to start all over again. I've been dealing with this mess for days now and I'm fed up.
I would like to upgrade to version 16, but I don't want to waste $400 if it doesn't work. I only use Viacad for my hobby, and as a retiree, I have to think carefully about any investment.

Hi Martin,

Before V14 I crashed a regular basis in Viacad Pro, usually trying to compact to clean things up so it would crash less (which was maddening) but in other operations as well. I rarely crash in V14 Build 1625, although I do still kill 'Mesh to Analytic' operations in PP that take too long. I don't use 'Bezier lines' so I can't comment on the stability of those operations.

You use to abe able to download a DEMO, but I don't see that option now. If you can post a file and maybe a video of what you are trying to do maybe someone can try that in a newer version. Or maybe someone from Punch will check it out (they use to do that).

I get the anger, I save on a regular basis but would still lose work and have to redo things. Being a hobbyist means it is free time, if you are anything like me I have less of it now than ever and don't want to spend it fighting software.

I see Cut2D and Cut3d in your tags, I use Vectric VCarve Pro 10.5 and have never had any issues with any Vectric product, in general if a product has issues I won't use it. Unfortunatly there are fewer options with Consumer Level Cad so it is harder to find alternatives that are affordable and just work.

I remeber searching for alternative applications and not comming up with anything at the price point, although that has changed a bit with some of the newer entries (like Plasticity), I have also looked at a number of parametric cad options and have not reached the comfort level that I have with Viacad.

Hopfully you can get your questions answered, post an example and see if anyone or Punch responds.
